The XXI century will be a сentury either of total all-embracing crisis or of moral and spiritual healing that will reinvigorate humankind. It is my conviction that all of us - all reasonable political leaders, all spiritual and ideological movements, all  faiths - must help in this transition to a triumph of humanism and justice, in making the XXI century a century of a new human renaissance.

Biography of Vladimir Lenin by Russian historian Vladlen Loginov released in Britain

The British publisher Glagoslav Publications released an English edition of Vladimir Lenin's biography by professor of history Vladlen Loginov, one of Russia's leading authorities on Lenin and a long-time research fellow at the Gorbachev Foundation.

Geoffrey Swain, professor emeritus at the University of Glasgow, wrote an introduction to this work.

In Russia, professor Loginov's work was first published in 2005 under the title Vladimir Lenin. The Choice of Path that has run into many editions.

In his book Vladimir Lenin: How to Become a Leader, Vladlen Loginov discusses the revolutionary leader's early years, his family, his political awarening ans dusbequent activities. He reveals the beginnings of the world's first socialist country, as well as the source of the future stateman's incredible willpower, his ability to influence people, his drive to succeed and his leadership qualities. All of these, the book demonstrates, were intrinsic to Lenin's character from a young age. In his research, Loginov uses new sources and previously unknown documents and memoirs, as well as archives of Russian in exile.

In his preface to the English edition, Prof. Swain writes that "emulating the German nineteenth century historian Leopold von Ranke, who argued that the facts should speak for themselves, Loginov wants Lenin's life to speak for itself."
