On 28 May 2015, the Gorbachev Foundation hosted a Round Table to mark 30 years since the start of Perestroika reforms in the Soviet Union. A report titled “1985–2015. The Values of Perestroika in the Context of Today’s Russia” was presented at the event.
The paper was prepared by a group of experts invited by the International Foundation for Socio-Economic and Political Studies (The Gorbachev Foundation) and the Civic Initiatives Committee (CIC).
Speakers at the Round Table included: Alexei Kudrin (CIC), Yevgeny Yasin (National Research University – Higher School of Economics), Yevgeny Gontmakher (The Institute of Contemporary Development), Ruslan Grinberg (The Institute of Economics, the Russian Academy of Sciences), Boris Dolgin (Polit.ru), Vasily Zharkov (The Moscow School of Social and Economic Sciences), Andrey Zakharov (Russian State University for the Humanities), Mikhail Ilyin (National Research University – Higher School of Economics), Fedor Lukianov (Russia in Global Affairs), Andrey Medushevsky (National Research University – Higher School of Economics), Pavel Palazhchenko (The Gorbachev Foundation), Andrey Ryabov (The Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO), the Russian Academy of Sciences), Mark Urnov (CIC).
