The Expertise Round Table – presentation by Mark Kramer themed “Reagan, Bush and Gorbachev: Talks between the Superpowers and the End of the Cold War”
On June 24, 2014 the Gorbachev Foundation held a round table, with Mark Kramer, Director of the Cold War Studies Program at Harvard University and a Senior Fellow of Harvard’s Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies, appearing as a guest speaker and delivering a presentation themed “Reagan, Bush and Gorbachev: Talks between the Superpowers and the End of the Cold War”.
Participants in the round table discussion that followed the presentation included, among others, Vasily Zharkov (the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration),Viktoriya Zhuravleva (Russian State University for the Humanities (RGGU)),Dmitry Petrov(The Petropavlovsk Foundation for Socially-Oriented Projects and Programmes Support),Pilar Bonet(El Pais),Olga Zdravomyslova,Aleksandr Veber, Georgy Ostroumov and Boris Slavin(the Gorbachev Foundation),RGGU’sstudents and the faculty.
After the discussion, Dmitry Petrov presented to the audience his new book “John Kennedy: The Red-Headed Prince of America” (Moscow, AST, 2013).
