Round Table Discussion “Is the Cold War Over?” / Meeting with David Hoffman at the Gorbachev Foundation
On 21 September 2011, the Gorbachev Foundation hosted Round Table Discussion “Is the Cold War Over?” / Meeting with David Hoffman, Foreign Editor at The Washington Post, a Cold War researcher, and winner of numerous journalistic awards. His latest book is The Dead Hand: The Untold Story of the Cold War Arms Race and its Dangerous Legacy (Doubleday, 2009), which won the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for general non-fiction.
Those taking part in the discussion themed “Is the Cold War Over?” included Mikhail Gorbachev, David Hoffman, and Russian political scientists and researchers Aleksandr Galkin, Viktor Kuvaldin, Georgy Ostroumov, Pavel Palazhchenko, Andrey Ryabov, Boris Slavin, and Mikhail Troitsky.
The round table was hosted by Olga Zdravomyslova, Executive Director of the Gorbachev Foundation.
