Mr. Gorbachev,
I am an American citizen with her eyes wide open to world events and my government's involvement in them. I am not easily fooled by my government's practices. I have always had great respect for you sir, but never more so than now. You have taken the bold and necessary step of speaking the truth and standing against the US government's secretive maneuvering in Georgia. I say secret, because you know well how the current administration, and the media here have swayed the American people and have not been at all truthful. I just wanted to send a quick thank you to you and say that your op-ed was quite refreshing to an American who has become very disappointed with her country's leadership. Here's hoping for, but not counting on better leadership to be elected in November 2008.
your friend and admirer,

Hello, or I should say Privet
I just wanted to say Thanks to Mr. Gorbachev I read his article in the New York times about the Issue of the Georgia conflict. I have always said the Russian people are a Wonderful people.
I found it hard to believe that they wanted to waste lifes attacking Georgia just to return to past ambitions. So God help us to Trust and Verify with each other over all of these things. I think the US and Russia can be friends . I look for the day we will not always presume the worse for each other. thank you for the Dialogue Mr. Gorbachev. sincerely Jim
