This study is part of the Gorbachev Foundation's research project Globalization: Challenges and Responses (1997-2001). It is focused on the ways of seeking dialogues between cultures and civilizations as a means to resolve and prevent conflicts in the contemporary world and develop a multipolar approach to global challenges and threats.
