Mikhail Gorbachev meets US Ambassador to Russia John F. Tefft
On 26 October 2015, Mikhail Gorbachev met John F. Tefft, the United States Ambassador to the Russian Federation. The meeting was initiated by the Ambassador. During an hour-and-a-half conversation, they discussed the world situation and relations between Russia and the United States. Mikhail Gorbachev stressed the need for dialogue on all issues on today's agenda to rebuild trust and cooperation between the two countries.

The XXI century will be a сentury either of total all-embracing crisis or of moral and spiritual healing that will reinvigorate humankind. It is my conviction that all of us - all reasonable political leaders, all spiritual and ideological movements, all faiths - must help in this transition to a triumph of humanism and justice, in making the XXI century a century of a new human renaissance.
