Mikhail Gorbachev’s Address to the Participants of the Second Stop TB Partners’ Forum

March 24 is the World Tuberculosis Day. On the previous day the Second Stop TB Partners’ Forum was opened in New Delhi, India. The event, held under the patronage of the World Health Organization and the World Bank brings together delegations from 22 countries from all over the world, as well as prominent politicians and participants in the Forum. The goal of this forum is to help step up anti-TB efforts.
Mikhail S. Gorbachev sent an Address to participants in the Forum. He wished all participants and organizers of the Conference to achieve positive results through common efforts and noted that “…we can Stop TB only by uniting the efforts, resources and intellectual potential of people from all continents and experts of different professions, by putting to use the experience and achievements of TB research centers.”
