The XXI century will be a сentury either of total all-embracing crisis or of moral and spiritual healing that will reinvigorate humankind. It is my conviction that all of us - all reasonable political leaders, all spiritual and ideological movements, all  faiths - must help in this transition to a triumph of humanism and justice, in making the XXI century a century of a new human renaissance.

Perestroika and the Imperatives of the 21st Century. For the 25th Anniversary of the Beginning of Perestroika in the USSR

The Project's goal was to research the real scale and significance of Perestroika in the national and world history. Based on documentary sources and first-hand accounts of the architects of Perestroika, the project authors regard as inevitable the political changes in the USSR in the late 1980s.
